We created the Yola Experts Program to provide resources to web professionals to build their businesses.  With Yola, a web designer can easily build customized sites for clients that are easy to update.

The Yola Experts Program provides:

  • Training materials on website building and sales
  • Processes to facilitate the creation of quality sites
  • An exclusive forum for discussions among web designers
  • Marketing collateral to promote the Yola Expert

We are pleased to announce that the Yola Experts Program (YEP) officially moves from pilot phase to public beta today. We have spent the last 3 months with the program in the pilot phase, collecting input from pilot members and their clients. Now that the program is launched in public beta, we are opening it to a wider audience. Please let us know what you think at yep@yola.com.

If you are a web designer, established or recently starting out, we invite you to take a closer look at YEP. Time and time again, the Yola sitebuilder has been referred to by industry experts as an award-winning design tool, which enables quick creation of quality sites.  You’ll find more information on our Join page.

Even with the simplicity and ease-of-use of the Yola sitebuilder, we have found small businesses often do not have the time to create a much needed website. If you are a small business looking for help with a website, or want a redesign of an existing site, please feel free to browse this Directory. There you’ll find the business sites of web designers whose work you can evaluate.  Please remember that these designers are not employees of Yola, and operate completely independently – you will be going directly to them to hire their services.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the pilot phase and for helping us determine the program materials at launch.  We look forward to continuing to expand the program resources and seeing many more high-quality sites designed by Yola Experts.

Widgetbox Integration and Domain Name Tutorial

July 28, 2008

11:33 am

We’ve just rolled out our latest set of feature updates. The major highlight of this release is the integration of the Widgetbox Gallery to the toolbox. Now you can browse, search and easily add widgets from WidgetBox’s wide selection of over 60 000 widgets - all from the comfort of your own SynthaSite! This makes it even easier to incorporate things like games, chat, video, social networking and much more straight into your website. Look for it in the “Contents” sidebar directly under the “File” widget.

We have also added a new tutorial to our increasingly comprehensive support section. The “How To Use Your Own Domain Name With SynthaSite” tutorial explains in detail the process of registering and configuring your own domain to point to your website.

As always, for a more detailed update on what’s new and exciting at SynthaSite, check out the latest release notes.

Updated release of SynthaSite goes live

May 20, 2008

4:10 pm

We strive to constantly improve SynthaSite and the value it provides our users. One of the ways we do this is through regular updates that improve the overall user experience, feature set and stability. Yesterday we put version 2.2.5 live.

The new color palettes got such a great reception that we have added more - 15 more styles now offer multiple palettes and there will be more to come. In order to help you find the palette you are looking for we have added pagination for browsing styles.

Full details of the new features and fixes are documented in the release notes.

As usual, there is plenty new support material to help you get up and running or improve your existing site.

There are also some undocumented fundamental enhancements that should make publishing your website even smoother and faster.

As always, thank you for your feedback and continued support - it has been invaluable in getting us to the point we are today. The daily communication from you via our support center and Get Satisfaction is what informs how we prioritize each release.

Service Restored

March 29, 2008

4:05 pm

The problem that prevented some users from creating sites has been resolved and the service is fully restored.

Our user base has grown substantially over the past few months and we have been working hard to make sure that our infrastructure can accommodate the increased traffic. Last night we unexpectedly reached capacity on one of our servers which is why new users were temporarily unable to create new sites. It is important to note that this issue did not affect existing sites in any way.

Now that we have resolved this limitation we will continue to improve our service with the aim of providing the highest possible uptime and availability. Once again, we apologize for any inconvenience.
